Gilmore Clinical Consulting and Services

810 Sacramento, West Sacramento, CA 95605

As a Black licensed clinical social worker and mental health provider, I am deeply committed to advancing health equity by centering the voices, needs, and lived experiences of Black individuals, families, and communities. I recognize that systemic racism, historical trauma, and structural barriers have created deep disparities in access to quality, culturally competent care. My practice is grounded in social justice, cultural humility, and the belief that everyone deserves safe, affirming, and trauma-informed support. Through my clinical work and advocacy, I strive to create spaces of healing where clients feel seen, valued, and empowered. I aim to reduce stigma, increase access, and challenge inequities by offering services that are not only evidence-based, but also rooted in the wisdom, resilience, and strength of our communities. I am proud to stand for equity, liberation, and mental wellness for all—especially those who have been historically excluded or underserved.

About Kyla Gilmore

www.gilmoreclinicalconsultingservices.com/

Welcome! I’m Kyla Gilmore, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and the founder of Gilmore Clinical Consulting & Services. I provide culturally affirming, trauma-informed care that centers healing, advocacy, and growth for individuals and communities navigating complex life challenges. With a strong commitment to justice and holistic support, I offer individual therapy as well as specialized services including immigration psychological evaluations, workplace accommodation assessments, and FMLA-related mental health documentation. My work is rooted in compassion, cultural humility, and a deep understanding of how systemic oppression impacts mental health and access to care.

Experience

As a Black Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience serving marginalized communities through both public and private sectors, I am deeply committed to advancing health equity, racial justice, and culturally responsive mental health care. I currently serve full-time with Sacramento County Behavioral Health, where I provide critical mental health diversion and forensic assessment services. In addition to my county role, I offer therapy and specialized clinical evaluations—including immigration and workplace accommodations—through my private practice, Gilmore Clinical Consulting Services. In every setting, I work through a lens of cultural humility and trauma-informed care. As the DEI/REA Liaison for my team and a union advocate, I actively engage in systems-level change to dismantle inequities and uplift the needs of historically excluded communities. My approach is rooted in the belief that healing is a radical act of resistance and restoration—especially for Black individuals and communities impacted by systemic oppression. I strive to create spaces where clients feel affirmed, empowered, and safe to bring their full selves into the healing process. Whether providing therapy, clinical advocacy, or community consultation, my mission is to expand access to care that is equitable, justice-centered, and deeply human.
