About Oludara Adeeyo

www.darkberrywellness.com/

As a dedicated advocate for mental wellness in the African diaspora (I’m proudly Nigerian-American!), I am committed to addressing the specific challenges that Black women face. Whether you are an African-American, first-generation child of immigrants (African, Caribbean, Hispanic/Latino, etc.), or a Black immigrant, working with you is a specialty of mine. My extensive educational background, as well as my lived and professional experience has equipped me with a deep understanding of the intersections of race, culture, and mental health. I hold a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California, where I focused on trauma-informed care and their implications for marginalized populations. Additionally, I am a QTBIPOC ally and I strive to provide affirming and inclusive care. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds, providing mental health services in a variety of settings—including community mental health, in-patient rehab, and private practice. I have a deep understanding of the importance of tailoring therapy to meet the individual needs of clients. Ultimately, my greatest joy is helping Black women overcome obstacles, heal from past traumas, and thrive in all aspects of their lives.
