About Jaida Day
Black Beauty Near You, LLC started in 2019 from a lack of beauty supply products that the founder, Jaida Day, experienced on the campus of UC San Diego; an experience that many Black girls at predominantly White Institutions (PWIs) unfortunately know all too well. As a result, over the years, Day has created an online beauty supply store, a braider directory, and an online university for students to find a sense of community and get the resources they need as a student to prepare them for their day-to-day during and post-college. We are now based out of Los Angeles, CA and host most of our events virtually.
Experience
Jaida Day is the CEO and Founder of Black Beauty Near You, LLC. During the day she works full-time as a software engineer, and during the evening she works as a part-time entrepreneur making beauty products and resources more accessible for college students. In her free time you can catch her dancing, trying a new food spot, or catching a new movie with her family and friends.
